WEATHER CHARTS:
Printable
Preschool children can circle the appropriate picture for
the corresponding weather pattern they see, each day of the
week. You can also keep track of temperatures with your students,
with spaces to mark in the temperature three times
daily.

TORNADO IN A JAR:
This is not the usual tornado in soda bottles experiment;
instead, your class will be using vinegar and dish deter-
gent to see how a tornado works.
THINKING ABOUT AIR:
In order to understand how wind and tornadoes work, have
your students complete this relatively simple collection
of exercises to see how air moves, using ping pong balls,
plastic straws, bubbles, and balloons.
TORNADO SAFETY:
This download file offers a safety awareness kit on tornadoes
that can be shared in the classroom, and also sent home with
preschoolers to share with their families. It covers the basics
of how tornadoes form, how to seek shelter, and how to
put together a disaster preparedness kit.
