OUR DAILY SCHEDULE
This is a basic schedule.

I'm very flexible! Especially in the beginning of the year the children are just
learning all about me and our classroom, as I am learning about them. Much has
to be taught before the actual schedule goes into place. That's when
changes occur.

9:20-9:40am ARRIVAL AND BOOK TIME
9:40 MORNING MEETING. This time includes lunch count and attendance, flag,
calendar, days of school count, 2 sentences to correct and when kids are
finished they may do Independent Reading, too.
10:00 - 10:30 SPELLING and PHONICS. This is a time to correct sentences from
board, introduce and reinforce
spelling words, phonics skills and word wall activities.
10:40 - 11:05 1:05 - 2:00
INTEGRATED LANGUAGE ARTS - READING AND WRITING WORKSHOP. This is the
heart of our language instruction time! During Reading Workshop, children read
independently from self-selected books, then complete jobs and centers as
teacher conferences with individuals. During Writing Workshop, children work on
writing assignments as teacher conferences with individuals and edits for
punctuation, spelling etc.
MATH 2:30-3:00
10:30-SNACK
SOCIAL STUDIES/SCIENCE Morning- Not every day
2:00 - 2:30 CHAPTER BOOK READ ALOUD
11:55-1:00 LUNCH and RECESS
??CENTERS??
3:00 - 3:15 Finish up whatever we were working on
3:20 DISMISSAL
